She was predeceased by: her husband Roscoe Chavis; her mother Sarah Maglene Locklear; and her brothers, Humphrey Dale Cummings and Don Cummings. She is survived by: her siblings, Alvis Cummings, Marlene Locklear (Harold), Tammy Lowey, Eva Locklear, Phyllis Hammonds and Carlee Hammonds; her nephew Joseph Hammonds; and her close friend Steven Jacobs.
