He was predeceased by: his parents, Hector McNeill Watson and Sadie McNeill Watson; his wife Mary Dan Robinson Watson; and his siblings, Hector McNeill Watson Jr., Mary Mac Watson Currie and Sara Watson High.
He is survived by: his sons, Clifton Daniel Watson, Sr. (Michelle) of Red Springs and Malcolm Charles Watson (Lynn) of Clayton; his grandchildren, Georgianna Watson Bowling (Jacob), Clifton Watson, Jr., Colby Watson, Morgan Watson, Carter Watson, Finnley Watson and Cameron Jenicek; and his great grandchildren, Cohen Watson, Porter Bowling, Wesley Bowling and Anna Bowling. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
