She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dial and Sarah Jane Locklear Dial; her husband Eugene Pate; and her daughter Diane Jones. She is survived by: her children, Billy J. Pate of Red Springs, Gary Pate of Red Springs, Johnny Matthew Pate of Red Springs and Debbie Sue Locklear of Red Springs; and her siblings, William Roger Dial of Red Springs, Betty Locklear of Red Springs and Ruth Locklear of Maxton. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
