He was predeceased by: his mother Virginia Godwin; and his son-in-law Fredrick "Freddie" Deese. He is survived by: his wife Ethel Mae Dial Rogers; his children, Leshia Gail Rogers Deese of Pembroke, Johnny Christopher Rogers of Red Springs and Rosalynn "Rose" Locklear (Alex) of Red Springs; his grandchildren, Magnolia Vest (Joshua), Jasmine Rogers Hunt (Corey), Jordan Rogers, Zachary Deese (Kali), Joshua Rogers (Alexis) and Alex "AJ" Locklear; and his great grandchildren, Bralei Jones, Brielle Smith, Brynn Hunt, Charli Sixto, Vincente Sixto and Zayne Deese.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Boles Funeral Home - Red Springs (102 S Vance St, Red Springs, NC 28377). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
