He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Benjamin Batton and Myrtle Dunn Gilmore; his wife Virginia Lytch Batton; his children, James Howard Batton (Louann) of Anderson, SC and Shannon Batton Baxley (Johnny) of Saint Pauls; his grandchildren, Wyndham Batton (Erin) of Belton, SC, Gaitley Batton of Greenville, SC, Graham Burns of Lumberton, Erin Baxley (Joe) of Lumber Bridge, Christa Baxley (Kenny) of Saint Pauls and Sarah Baxley of Saint Pauls; and his great grandchildren, Hampton Batton, Lawrence Batton, A'niyah of Washington, Layonna of Washington, LJ of Washington, Alijah of Washington, Ke'Shawyn of Washington and Cameron Jackson.
