She was predeceased by: her parents, Barney Jones and Reba Jane Strickland Jones; her husband Everette Jennings; her son Everette Jennings Jr.; and her grandson Chad Moshier.

She is survived by: her children, Jacqueline Jennings, Darlene Smith of Lumberton, Richard Jennings of Pembroke and Charles Jennings of Charlotte; and her siblings, Ronald Jones of Red Springs, Jimmy Jones of Lumberton, Christine Locklear of Hope Mills, Vera Locklear of Lumberton and Phyllis Shields of Hope Mills. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

“My name is Phyllis and Earline was my sister. I've spent a lot of time with her these past few months along with our sisters, Christine and Vera Locklear. We'd talk, laugh, and cry, but most of all just being together. Our brother Jimmy Jones has really helped out allot also he has made sure that we always had something to eat, he'd bring in the food and Christine would cook it and oh it would be oh so good. Our brother Ronald just recently had knee surgery and has not been feeling well.”
