He was predeceased by: his wife Katie B. Rich; and his siblings, Sophronia Taylor, Odell Rich and Shelton Rich. He is survived by: his children, Tony Rich (Diane) of Sparr, Paul Rich (Diane) of Seattle, Sharon Skipper of McColl, S. C. and Christi Ray of McColl, S. C.; and his sisters, Margaret Levinson of Fayetteville and Myrna L. Phillips of Dublin. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
