It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cora Oxendine of Red Springs, North Carolina, who passed away on August 16, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son George David Oxendine; her siblings, Edward Locklear, Rev. Montana Locklear, Gervis Locklear, Edsel Locklear, Carl Wayne Locklear, Claude "Pee Wee" Locklear and Ethel Miller; and her grandsons, Brian Oxendine and Roberto Lopez.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Oxendine of Red Springs, Rodney Oxendine of Oklahoma, Diane Jacobs of Red Springs, Frances Sanchez of Lexington, Bobbie Fernandez of Red Springs and Betty Martinez of Shannon; her sisters, Gertha Burnette of Rennert and Carol Locklear of Pembroke; and her granddaughters, Glenda "Choo Choo" Jacobs and Maria Williams. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
