It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clilton Barton Sr. (Red Springs, North Carolina), who passed away on November 15, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Barton and Magdalean Barton; his brother Billy Barton; his daughter Teresa Barton; and his great grandchild Miss Lilyann Deese.
He is survived by: his children, Billy Barton (Leslie), Clilton Barton, Jr., Sandra Calhoun (Scott), Lisa Counsellor (Bruce), Robin Smith (Willie) and Wanda Chavis (Phillip); his siblings, Mack D. Barton, Jr. (Donna Faye), Thurman Barton, Raymond Barton, Georgeann Barnes, Mary Lee Bullard (Waymon), Lottie P. Bullard (James Ellis), Erma Lee Barton, Jackie Dunn, Goldie Lee Berry (Kenny) and Jan B. Locklear; and his grandchildren, Scott Calhoun (Victoria), Christopher Calhoun (Irene), Heather Deese (Chris), Jessica Naito (Travis), Samantha Altherr (Jacob), Chelsea Simpson (Eric), Sequoyah Smith, Hunter Smith, Dakota Smith, Akwiasdi Smith, Chad Chavis and Kenneth Jones.
