She was predeceased by: her parents, Zack King and Effie King; her siblings, Marie Mattus, Viola Hall, Ruby Griffin, Vernon King and Clifton King; and her sister-in-law Lorene Wellman Bass.
She is survived by: her children, Tonja Bass Whitley (Phil) of Wendell, Tim N. Bass (Eva) of Red Oak and Greg K. Bass (Kim) of Red Oak; her grandchildren, Tucker N. Bass of Red Oak and Brittany L. Bass (Matt Ard) of Red Oak; and her sisters, Edna Joyner of Greensboro, Lois Hudnell and Marvis Armstrong of Whitakers. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
