She is survived by: her parent Mary Mohorn Saunders; her children, Peggy Griffin Doughtie (John) of Bethel and George Jeffrey Griffin (Wendy) of Red Oak; her grandchildren, Jessica Meares of Raleigh, Matt Griffin of Raleigh and Morgan Griffin of Red Oak; her siblings, Mary Louise Atkins of Aventon and Ben M. Saunders of Burlington; and her sisters-in-law, Jane E. Saunders of Aventon, Lucy M. Saunders of Charlotte, Frances Hedgepeth of Nashville and Mary Jane May of Peachtree. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Jackie endured a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
