He was predeceased by: his parents, Fleeta Gay Sheets and Silva Edward Hicklin. He is survived by: his wife Susan Baker Hicklin; his daughter Robin Hicklin Nash (Willie); his grandchildren, Carter Nash and Leighah Nash of Gloucester, Virginia; and his stepson Mike Thigpen of Wilson.
