He was predeceased by: his parents, James David Edwards, Sr. and Emma Mangum Edwards; and his siblings, Onnie Bet Edwards, Esther Harris, Ruth Rogers, Rachel Hollingsworth, Juanita Rose, Annie Lynn Griffin, Curtis Edwards, Fred Edwards, Tommy Edwards, James David and Wimpy Edwards.
He is survived by: his daughter Gina Edwards Frazier (Steve) of Rocky Mount; and his grandson Nicholas Frazier (Haley) of Nashville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
