He is survived by: his wife Viola; his daughter Susan Reeder Nunnery (Grover) of Denver, NC; his granddaughter Savannah Nunnery of Stanley, NC; and his sister Elizabeth Greene of Seagrove, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
