He was predeceased by: his father David Mayburn Payne; his stepfather Charles Hanner; and his son Tyler Gerringer. He is survived by: his children, Emmalea Hicks (JD) and Cody Payne (Danielle); his grandson Nolan Payne; his mother Shirley Hanner; and his siblings, Krista Neelley and Craig Payne. He is also survived by 5 nephews.
