She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Saunders and Eva Coley Saunders; her husband Willie G. Smith, Sr.; her daughter Deborah Smith; and her sister Ruby Lemons.

She is survived by: her children, Sheila Smith of Randleman and Gentry Smith (Angel) of Randleman; her grandchildren, Amanda Nelson (CJ), Josiah Smith (Reshea) and Daniel Smith; and her sister Louise Pugh of Welcome.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009.
