She was predeceased by: her husband Jerry Reece Kivett; her son Monty Christopher Kivett; and her parents, Hurley Calvin and Mary Wood Burgess. She is survived by: her children, Lisa Gay Johnson (Rick) of Barnesville, GA and Ryan Burgess Kivett (Penny) of Glen Allen, VA; her sisters, Nancy Allred of Ramseur and Melanie Sabins of Asheboro; her grandchildren, Erin Driskell (Jonathan), Kelly Page (Keith), Jerry Christopher Kivett of Justin Reece, Riley Kivett and Sarah Kivett Herin (Jeremiah); and her great grandchildren, Gavin Driskell, Karoline Page, Jaxson Driskell, Kinley Page, Remington Driskell and Klaira Kate Page.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Parks Crossroads Youth.
