He was predeceased by: his parents, Ulysses Lawson and Conie Albright Lawson; and his sisters, Marie Cain and Stacy Curtis. He is survived by: his wife Carol Beck Lawson; his children, Kim Garner (Michael) of Asheboro and Phil Lawson (Cindy) of Asheboro; his siblings, Dale Dubendorf of Asheboro and Gayle Lawson (Martha) of Ramseur; his grandchildren, Wade Lawson (Megan) of Asheboro, Cami Garner and Carson Garner of Asheboro; and his great grandchild Braxton Vick. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and special dog.
