He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer S. Allen and Virgie Brown Allen. He is survived by: his wife Lou Anne Allen; his children, Tony Allen (Tonya) of Ramseur and Kelly Joiner (Jimmy) of Asheboro; his stepsons, Tim Ellington (Sarah) of Staley and Terry Ellington (Wendy) of Lexington; his siblings, Nancy Edinger (Fred) of Hartsville, SC and Melvin Allen (Ann) of Asheboro; his grandchildren, Katelyn Forbes, Abigail Allen, Tanner Beal (Yui) and Anthony Allen; his stepgrandchildren, Xander Ellington, Ethan Ellington and Carter Ellington; his great grandchildren, Jackson Forbes, Logan Forbes, Ariel Beal and Landon Trammel; his nieces, Michelle Williams (Dwight), Gina Bateman (Matt) and April Adams (Tristan); his nephew Paul Edinger (Kelly); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Piper Edinger, Harper Edinger, Amelia Adams, Adeline Adams, Cody Osborne, Corey Bateman, Christian Bateman and Miles Adams; and his close friends, Doug Kinney of Asheboro and David Hawkins of Asheboro.
