He was predeceased by: his former wife Annie Lou Brown; his parents, Clyde Brown and Daisy Coble Brown; his brothers, Earnest and Junior Brown; and his stepson Ronald Shaw.
He is survived by: his wife Elner Brown (Bill); his son Terry Lee Brown of Siler City; his siblings, Louise Womble (Earl) of Siler City, Frank Brown (Sylvia) of Siler City, Richard Brown (Anne) of Pittsboro, Bobby Brown (Sherry) of Bennett and Jimmy Brown (Pam) of Raleigh; his stepchildren, Nancy Lawson (Ralph) and Danny Shaw (Jane); his stepgrandchildren, Cheryl Ollis (Tommy), Angela Delli Colli (Jim), Tara Burgess (Anthony), Dana Collins (Mike) and Chad Lawson (Shannon); and his sister-in-law Dot Brown. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, along with many great nieces and great nephews.
