It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Ratliff of Ramseur, North Carolina, born in Buchanan, Virginia, who passed away on November 27, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Slimp Clifford Ratliff; her parents, George Matney and Della Vandkye Matney; and her siblings, Hazel Looney, Helen Bowman, Roger Matney, Ed Matney, Junior Matney and Ira Matney.
She is survived by: her children, Tabitha McMasters (Bobby) of Ramseur, Tammy Toomes, Gary Matney (Linda) of Cedar Falls and Clifford Ratliff (Teri) of Sanford; and her siblings, Ann Matney, Beulah Hess and Beuford Matney. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
