She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas William and Elizabeth Faye Harris Moses. She is survived by: her husband Jim Ellis; her daughters, Elizabeth Ellis (Matthew Beasley) of Greensboro and Tiffany Ellis (Evan Gobble) of Lewisville; her granddaughter Elizabeth "Libby" Beasley; her sister Tamra Moses Farris (Ronald) of Pittsboro; and her nieces, Gabrielle and Alexie Farris.
