He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Heilig Stout; his parents, Clifford Stout and Della Cox Stout; and his siblings, Geneva Brown, Mary Welch, Drotha Nelson, Newman Stout and Joseph Stout.
He is survived by: his son Bruce Stout (Tammy) of Ramseur; his sister Golda Burris of Ramseur; his grandchildren, Brittany Stout Hodgin (Jacob) and Christopher Stout (Haley); and his great grandchild Dawson Lee Hodgin.
