He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence West and Tempy Oates West; his daughter Linda Murphy; and his siblings, Leah Parker, Lillie Parker, Alice McNair, Lawrence West, Percy West, Carl West and Robert Sherrill West.
He is survived by: his wife Sallie Leach West; his daughter Jennifer Kinney of Greenbelt, MD; and his sisters, Helen Lee of Brandywine, MD and Tempie Lockamy of Fayetteville, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
