He was predeceased by: his parents, Macon Alston, Sr. and Emma Jane Harris Alston; and his brother Nelson Alston. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Alston; his sons, Greg Cheek of Seagrove, Reginold Alston (Denise) of Bonaire, GA and Kevin Alston of Greensboro; his sister Rosa Taylor of Bonlee; his grandchildren, Lakeisha Allen (Eddie) of Burlington, Reginald Headen of Asheville, Keyshia Gray (Charles) of Greensboro, Courtney Brower (Corey) of Burlington, Macon Alston (Laquetta) and Elijah Kemp of Durham; and his great grandchildren, Aubri Alston of Burlington, Dorisa Allen of Burlington, Aaliyah Alston of Greensboro, Eliana Gray of Greensboro and Elise Gray of Greensboro. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Loflin Funeral Home (147 Coleridge Rd, Ramseur, NC 27316). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Church of God of Prophecy (902 W Swannanoa Ave, Liberty, NC 27298).
