She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Brewer and Elsie Barker Brewer; her son Michael G. Purvis; and her siblings, Pete Brewer, Marvin Brewer, Raymond Brewer, Ada Mae Hicks and Phyllis Ritter.
She is survived by: her children, Jackie P. Craven (Bill) of Ramseur and Kevin B. Purvis (Terri) of Bear Creek; her daughter-in-law Merle Purvis of Shallote; her sisters, Virginia Seawell of Carthage and Pauline Garner of Lexington; her sister-in-law Joy Brewer of Bennett; her grandchildren, Meredith Duell, Josh Purvis, Rachel Stanley, Brad Craven, Michelle Kirchenbaum, Megan Purvis and Graham Purvis; and her niece Anne Dunlap. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
