We are sad to announce that on March 2, 2022, at the age of 90, Katherine Loizon Maples of Ramseur, North Carolina, born in Charlotte, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Christallene Loizon and Louis Loizon; her sister Athanasia (Robert Maples); and her daughter-in-law Beverly Maples. She is survived by: her husband Robert Cary Maples; her son Rob; her close friends, India Craven and Mary Elizabeth Voncannon; her sister Louisa McLamb (Sammy); her nieces and nephews, Kathy Maples Pell of Jefferson, NC, Mary Owen (Gordon) of Rural Hall, NC, John Maples (Teresa) of Wilmington, NC, Rob Maples (Lyn) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Jim Maples (Becky) of Randleman, NC.; her grandchildren, Lara Maples, Brooke Maples, Megan Maples, Brant Maples, Chad Calcutt, Bobby Maples, Ella Putnam and Zoie Fleming; her great grandchildren, Briley Cook, Beckett Maples and Cydney Calcutt; and her caregivers, Kathy Smith and Kaylan Coggins. She is also survived by many cousins and nieces and nephews.
