He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Curtis Loflin and Bessie Nelson Loflin; and his former wife Nancy Carolyn Gates Loflin. He is survived by: his wife AnnaRae Hodgin; his son Donald Ray Loflin (Carol) of Ramseur; his stepchildren, Jon Gray of Ramseur, LeAnder Gray (Jennifer) of Clayton, Rebecca Gray of Asheboro and Larry Gray (Martha) of Asheboro; his foster son Kevin Lockhart of Franklinville; his brother Darrell Loflin of Siler City; his grandchildren, Donald Ray Loflin, Jr. of Carolyn Jeanette, James Allen Loflin of Ramseur, Elspeth Long of Raleigh, Carolyn Jeanette "C. J." Loflin of Ramseur and Hannah Gray of Clayton; his stepgranddaughters, Bobbie Clark of Asheboro and April Murray of Asheboro; his sisters-in-law, Susan Davis of Apex and Diane Nowak of Raleigh; his daughters-in-law, Patricia Hughes of Randleman and Lisa Heckendorn of Antioch, CA; his pets, Lily and Raggs; and his friend Jon Gray. He is also survived by five step-great granddaughters, one step great grandson.
