He was predeceased by: his father Ralph "Coot" Lawson; and his siblings, John Lawson, Larry Lawson, Walter Lawson and Betty Sue.
He is survived by: his wife Vicky Fisher Lawson; his daughter Sherry Lawson of Ramseur; his siblings, Teresa Diane Wall (Ed) of Sophia, Bernice Phillips of Sophia, Carol Ferree of Randleman, Maxine Hiatt, Ralph Harris Lawson (Nancy) of Ramseur and Michael Lawson (Christine) of Ramseur; and his grandchildren, Chase Frazier and Addy Frazier. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
