He is survived by: his children, Tenesa Kivett Hurley (Randy) of Asheboro, James Ryan Kivett and Judy Kivett; his parents, James Arthur Kivett (Helen) of Liberty and Brenda Annie Staley of Liberty; his siblings, Shelia Isom (Curtis) of Liberty and Ronnie Garrett of Red Cross; and his uncle John Henry Kivett (Nancy) of Climax. He is also survived by three nieces, one nephew, and numerous cousins.
