He is survived by: his wife Annie Dowdy; his children, Jeffrey Donell Dowdy (Angela), Isacc Conyers (Gwen), Tanni Martin and Rosanne Herron (David); his grandchildren, Jamal Donell Dowdy (Crystal), Jarod Denzel Dowdy, Bianca Bell, Termi Dowdy, James Dowdy III, Brianna Dowdy, Robert Dowdy (Tiffany), Ricky Davis (Kesha), Brandon Dowdy, Jayce, Jules, Kenny, Darius, Ahmir, Tre Viana, Mary, Mandala, Aaliyah, Aalizabeth, Jaiden and Ky'Mera; his daughter-in-law Paula Dowdy; and his nephew Joe Morgan (Judy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
