He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Elwood and Ommie Corneila Cockman Cox; and his siblings, Leta Smith, Ardieth Walker, Geneva Brady, Anderson Cox and Eugene Cox.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Brown Cox; his children, Revonda Cox of Ramseur, Karen Allen of Ramseur, Carlton of Ramseur, Denise Hudson of Ramseur, Greg of Ramseur, Diane Reeder of Ramseur, Winford of Ramseur, Ronald Cox of Ramseur, Tommy Cox of Ramseur and Carol Ann of Ramseur; his brother Gilmer Cox of Booneville; his grandchildren, Traci Johns, James of Indian Trail, Kendra Moore, Ethan of Asheboro, Noah Hudson of Ramseur, Erin Cox and Kari Cox; his great grandchildren, Brooke Johns, Rylee Johns and Gatlin Moore; and also Carol of Booneville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
