It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hampton Burgess (Ramseur, North Carolina), who passed away on February 13, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Sr. Burgess and Lola Macon Burgess; and his siblings, Franklin Burgess, Boyd Burgess, Grover C. Burgess Jr. and Blanche Sigmon Mitchum.

He is survived by: his wife Jo Burgess; and his sisters, Clarice Chriscoe (Harvey) of Ramseur and Faye Cox (Loyd) of Asheboro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
