She was predeceased by: her husband Robert James Thompson; her parents, Roy Allred and Elsie Dyson Allred; and her siblings, Mary Lee Robinson and Grady Allred.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gloria Best (Robert) of South Dakota, Janet Henley (Benny) of Franklinville and Robin Rudick (Morris) of Ramseur; her siblings, Nancy Crawford of Greensboro, David Allred (Beth) of Kernersville and Jimmy Allred (Sherry) of Ramseur; and her grandchildren, Angela Towne (Jason), Derrick Wadleigh, Brandon Henley, Candi Leonard (Travis), Robert Duncan (Amanda), Devin Best, Marissa Shaw (Blake) and Cierra Rudick. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
