He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur and Myrtle Moon Whitt, Sr.; and his brother Arthur Thomas Whitt, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Gail Plummer Whitt; his sons, Richard W. Whitt of Tillery and David A. Whitt of High Point; his grandchildren, Zachary Santos of Seattle and Amelia Hope Sams (Josh) of Tillery; and his great grandchildren, Cayson and Asher Sams.
