He was predeceased by: his grandson Evan Michael Jessup; his parents, Raymond Jessup and Margaret Davis Jessup; and his siblings, Lori Lambert, Judy Pugh, Jean Jessup, Tommy Jessup, Johnny Jessup, Tony Jessup and Russell Jessup.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Jessup; his children, Dayna Goebert (Chad) of Ball Ground, GA and David Michael Jessup II (Tracy) of Ramseur; his sister Phoebe Burkheart of Ramseur; and his grandchildren, Maycie, Laynie, Saydie Goebert, Olivia and Kyleigh Jessup. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
