She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred Franklin Bodsford; her son Alfred Bodsford Jr.; her parents, Colon Bunting and Etta Bonkemeyer Bunting; and her sisters, Martha Hecking, Ava Holcombe and Jane O'Connor.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Bodsford Wesley (Robert) of Winston Salem and Michael Bodsford of Asheboro; and her siblings, Betty Crowell of Asheboro, William Hix Bunting of Asheboro and James R. Bunting of Texas. She is also survived by four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
