He was predeceased by: his wife Annette Williams; his son James B. Williams; his parents, Clyde L. Williams and Margaret Buie Williams; and his brother Bobby Williams.
He is survived by: his son John A. Williams (Melissa) of Franklinville; his sister Phoebe Craven of Greensboro; his grandchildren, Kyle Williams of Franklinville and Lindsay Williams King (Jason) of Concord; and his great grandchild Conner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
