She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmy Stubbs; her parents, James Sweatt and Mae Davis Sweatt; her brothers, Ervin Davis and J. W. Sweat; and her great grandchild Jackson Watson Presnell.
She is survived by: her children, Clara Jean Watson Williams (Jeff) of Ramseur, Peggy Routh (Sammy) of Franklinville, Billy Watson (Terri) of Liberty and Ralph Norton (Pat) of Asheboro. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren.
