She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Cecil Dorsett, Jr.; her parents, Wesley Irvin Jones II and Vana Hughes Jones; and her siblings, Mary J. Ray, Bobbie J. Phelps, Iris J. Kivett and Wesley Irvin Jones III.

She is survived by: her sons, Charles Michael Dorsett (Elaine) of DeBary, FL and Christopher Wesley Dorsett (Gwen) of Randleman; her sisters, Jackie Cox of Asheboro and Carolyn Albright (Ray) of Ramseur; and her grandchildren, Heather Dorsett of Archdale, Katie Dorsett-Dye (Trevor) of Oak Island, Jennifer Dorsett of Bradenton, FL and Zach Dorsett of Pembroke Pines, FL..
