She was predeceased by: her husband Herbert Hoover Johnson; her parents, Lacy Kinney and Maude Allred Kinney; and her siblings, Irene Saunders, Louise Kinney, Fleta Wright, Clara Bell, Norman Kinney, Odell Kinney, Charles Kinney, Fred Kinney and Harvey Kinney.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Dennis (James Sr.) of Asheboro and Aubrey Johnson (Nancy) of Roanoke, VA.; her siblings, Mary Stout (Wade) of Siler City, Martha Harvell of Cedar Falls, Donna Jenkins of Hendersonville, Herbert Kinney of Hendersonville and Joseph Kinney (Linda) of Ramseur; and her grandchildren, Amber Ward (Kenneth), Seth Johnson, Caleb Johnson (Amy), Sara Koshy (Jason), Joel Johnson and Abbie Nellis (Jack). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
