He was predeceased by: his son Donnie Delaven Marley; his parents, Ira Delaven, Sr. and Johnsie Lawrence Marley; his brother Ira Delaven Marley, Jr.; and his brother-in-law Jerry Ritter.
He is survived by: his sisters, Jane Ritter of Climax and Phyllis Marley of Ramseur; his niece Annette Pierce; and his nephew David Ritter (Marla). He is also survived by four great-nephews, two great-great-nephews and numerous close and special friends.
