He was predeceased by: his son Tim Stout; and his parents, Neuman Stout and Orene Hayes Stout. He is survived by: his wife Jean Lanier Stout; his son Chris Stout; and his siblings, Joyce Goss (Danny) of Ramseur, Nathan Stout (Connie) of Ramseur and Royce Stout (Marilyn) of Seagrove.
