He is survived by: his wife Rita Craven Chaney Poole; his daughter Amy Carter; his sisters, Doris Berry, Iris Williams and Stella Mae Townsend; and his grandchildren, Jake Carter, Addisyn Carter and Shane Allred. He is also survived by three step grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
