She was predeceased by: her husband Rufus Ray Gilliland; her parents, Exton Kivett and Sonda York Kivett; her daughter Debra Ann Gilliland; and her brother Ken Kivett.
She is survived by: her daughters, Crandall Ellison (Larry) of Ramseur and Clara Vandiford (Tom) of Macon; her grandson Barry Ellison (Elizabeth) of Greensboro; her great grandchildren, Megan and Zach Ellison; her sisters-in-law, Iris Jones Kivett and Della Gilliland Smith; and her aunt Christine Moffitt Kivett.
