She was predeceased by: her parents, Effie Garner Long and James Long; and her daughter Amy Melissa Southerland. She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy Crabb (Doug) and Lynne Hopkins (Hoppy); her grandchildren, Kent Schneider (Guenn), Amy Mateo (Art), Gene Schneider, Brittany Ledford (Brian) and Alex Hopkins; and her great grandchildren, Ophelia Ledford, Brently Schneider, Winston Ledford, Caroline Schneider, Kensington McGillicuddy, Sadie Schneider, Adeline McGillicuddy and Naomi Mateo.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brown-Wynne Funeral Home (1701 E Millbrook Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609). A celebration of life was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
