He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Mutt" Carroll and Josephine "Jo" Carroll; and his brother Frank Wayne Carroll. He is survived by: his wife Muriel Carroll of Raleigh; his daughter Jessica Killette (Edwin); his granddaughter Peyton of Wendell; his sister Brenda Beasley (Robert) of Clayton; and his nieces and nephews, Jamie Barwick (Josh), Shannon Joseph (George), Jeremy Carroll (Amy) and Stephen Beasley (Kristi).
