He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Chester Martin and Rachel Gurley Martin. He is survived by: his brother Paul Michael "Mike" Martin; his cousin Kay Powell (Robert) of Mount Olive; and his caregivers, Rebecca Coker, Naomi Coker, Sallie Denny and Frances Liverman of Tarboro.
