In the vast expanse of eternity, Thomas Hartwell shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Thomas Hartwell farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He is survived by: his significant other Kiley Murray; his parents, Lisa Rivers and Wayne Rivers; his sister Cate of Raleigh; and his grandparents, Tom, Lib Campbell of Raleigh and Barbara Thomason of Wilmington.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hayes Barton United Methodist Church (2209 Fairview Rd, Raleigh, NC 27608).

In lieu of flowers or food for the family, please consider designating gifts in his memory to the athletic programs at The Salvation Army of Wake County where he played as a boy or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Though he will be deeply and forever missed, we hope you will join us in remembering Hart with joy and thankfulness for the gift he was to us all.
