He was predeceased by: his parents, Khamdeng Thirakoune and Onekeo Thirakoune; and the mother of his children Bouasy Thirakoune. He is survived by: his wife Duangchith Thetsombandith; his children, Oulayvanh Phillips (Jamie) of Sanford, Souchinda Griffith of Charlotte and Paphaphone Greer (Mark) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his stepchildren, William Thetsombandith (Savanmaly), Nang Oungphonxay (Keo), Peter Thetsombandith and Souk Thetsombandith (Ashley) of Toronto, Ontario; his grandchildren, Caila, Tyler Phillips, Jackson, Mia Greer and Kai Griffith; and his stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Oungphonxay-Maningas, Julia Oungphonxay, Jacqualine, Matthew Thetsombandith and Tristan Thetsombandith. He is also survived by two brothers; three sisters.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory (944 Old Knight Rd, Knightdale, NC 27545). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel (944 Old Knight Rd, Knightdale, NC 27545).
